Annual Skywarn Training
Kent County Skywarn will be conducting a three-hour course on Thursday, March 16, 2017, from 6:30pm to 9:30pm. This course covers the basics of being a SKYWARN Spotter. The goal of the course is to provide baseline training for all spotters through multiple modules covering the procedures for spotting (including communication and spotter report criteria) and safety considerations for all hazards.
The class will be taught at Kentwood High School and is free of charge. The class meets the basic Weather Spotter training for Kent and Ottawa County Skywarn units.
